I have been quite busy these days though not really doing anything serious.
1. I finished a great book:
The Brothers Karamazov (by the Russian author Fyodor Dostoyevsky)
I started reading it just because one of my favorite artists mentioned it in a interview, about something Christanity, while I have always been interested in religion. With much luck I found it in the city library and it was BRAND NEW so I became the first reader!
I don't want to go into details about what the book talks about, because it is too complicated to describe and. It is a book talking about God (faith), free will, love, morality, as well as exploring the Russian spirits. It doesn't talk about any big event, no war, no political turmoil, no social movement. All the thoughts of the author are delivered with talks, thoughts of normal people, by everyday life and small events. Maybe the hugest event in the book is the murder case, or the deadth of an 'Elder'.
2. I am really happy that Ang Lee's film: Life of Pie got the Oscars best film of 2013.
It is the only film that I have watched TWICE IN THE CINEMA. Okay, gain it is about faith, god & religion (I am just having so much interests in this topic that I even began thinking about taking a course on it!) The story is simple, but there is much behind. The first time I watched it I thought it was about the interaction of human & nature, interaction of human & animals, the second time I felt much more. And it was beautiful, watching it was much more enjoyable than watching any other movies so far. It might not be the most pretty pictured movie, but I just found much more happiness in it.
I love it so much that I have started reading the original book. And the book was GREAT too!
3. As always, I love pictures & images. So I am having fun reading some books about traditional Chinese embroidery motifs & dress motifs. Those are really beautiful!
4.Aroma & essential oils.
I have stopped using chemical shampoo and adopt soaps made entirely with nature ingredients, since half a year ago. And I felt my hair's change: It has gone back to a balanced track. Before then my hair itchy and oily if I don't wash it for one day. Now I can feel totally comfortable even for 3 days or more. 2 days after I washing hair my colleague asked me: did you wash your hair last night (it smelt good)? I was so happy.
Live naturaly, we will all benefit from it.
